Macbeth
Macbeth tells a dark and disturbing story. Backed by the deceptive prophecies of the “Fateful Sisters”, Macbeth decides to murder his king and take the crown. Aware of the horror to which he surrenders, he allows himself to be possessed by the evil that is born from the lust for power, believing himself invincible and eternal. It is possible that the message of a work like Macbeth and the transformative power of theater makes us reflect on a type of behavior from which we are no strangers and that Shakespeare himself points out, inviting us to identify with his protagonist. An absolutely current and referential text to become aware of the destructive behaviors, not only of our rulers, but also of the shadow and fear that makes us lift them to power.
